Thanks Susan!

As an additional topic for that Board Meeting we might consider reviewing
the current funding situation for the ED position. On the July 21 Board
meeting a majority agreed upon a motion that states:

"OFA accept funding at $35000/quarter to be reviewed every quarter for a
total of 18 months pending legal review". This funding is provided by
Intel.

To me, two items come out of that:

1. We are one quarter down the road now. I think we should review as agreed
upon.

2. What happened to the 'pending legal review' of that setup -- did it ever
happen?

If we want to move the Board meeting to next Thursday - that would work for
me.
We will use the time to continue the bylaws discussion as they relate to
Board Directors - but we can get/give reports from the Treasurer and
Working Groups too ... as well as an update on the annual conference
planning.

I will advertise next week's meeting as such, and hopefully everyone can
attend.

Folks,
I had hoped to be able to carve out time here at the Grace Hopper
Conference to attend/run the Board Meeting.
That is simply not going to happen.
Since both Paul and I are unavailable, I suggest we cancel this meeting.
My apologies.

We will continue the bylaws discussion on Thursday, Oct. 27.
