Hello everyone,
OFA virtual workshop is going well and Thank you for all your support so far!

Intel is nominating Phil Cayton for OFA Vice Chair role. Phil comes with lot of industry background and is no stranger to OFA community. He has given presentations at Open Fabrics Alliance workshops in 2016, 2019 and 2020. Phil served on the Open Fabrics Alliance Workshop Technical Program Committee in 2020. In addition, in 2016 he wrote an article published on the Open Fabrics Alliance 'Technologies' press page. He comes with good connections with organizations that could play a key role in OFA's future. Please consider my nomination for OFA Vice Chair role.

More about Phil:

Phil Cayton is a Senior Staff Engineer for Intel with 25 years of industry experience researching and developing fabrics, storage, and datacenter infrastructure technologies - he has been involved with InfiniBand since the beginning and has written many RDMA-based drivers including the initial prototype NVMe-over-Fabrics driver stack which was then taken over by kernel maintainers and up-streamed. Additionally, he has led remote peer-to-peer memory projects, Open Fabrics testing and patching, dynamic data center energy efficiency R&D, server autonomics R&D, mobile-device multi-radio interference mitigation, mobile augmented reality, sensor enhanced personal medical monitoring, and network driver development projects. He has several published whitepapers and 20 granted patents.

Phil has authored four technical proposals for the NVMe consortium and is leading multi-consortium development of a technical proposal to enable booting over NVMe over Fabrics. Additionally, he is developing schema and mockups for SNIA Swordfish in the Scalable Storage Management Technical Working Group.
