thought after the meeting today:

In terms of analyzing the APIs at a lower level, of all the interfaces that have been defined, I think the one of highest priority (because it pertains directly to MPI) to discuss would be the tag matching API.  Again, I'm hoping that a pseudo-code analysis will help, but a specific focus on the tag matching interfaces may be useful, as there are several detailed options that could be made.
