This is correct. Therefore OFI needs to fix "why not extend verbs" wording on the slide. Seems that we are repeating ourselves here. I hope that Paul has the information he was asking for, so OFA can continue and promote its developed software for the user community.

As far as I know, OFA did not state "verbs is perfect for everything", nor "libfabrics is perfect for everything". You wrote it Jeff.  The right way IMO for OFA is to have statements as "verbs advantages are XYZ" and libfabrics advantages are XYZ."

I completely agree.

To be clear: the OFA does not have the mission of proclaiming "verbs is perfect for everything."  That's why OFIWG was created.  Saying otherwise would reflect negatively on OFIWG.

So let's not keep forcing one particular company's view on this issue.
