  1.  SC25 BoF submission

  *   Work on the BoF submission (below).
     *   Implementing an Open Ecosystem with HPC Workload Managers to define dynamic virtual cluster configurations using the Sunfish Composable Disaggregated Systems Management Framework



Description



A hardware management service that provides dynamic application resource matching for Composable Disaggregated Infrastructure (CDI) can increase runtime performance and improve resource utilization for large-scale computing systems by providing granular control of network connected pooled resources. The OpenFabrics Alliance (OFA) is continuing to develop Sunfish, a vendor-agnostic CDI framework to augment nodes with additional disaggregated components.



This BoF is an update on the status of Sunfish and an open invitation to new members to join with us to further develop Sunfish. Speakers will pose questions, directing the focus of Sunfish development towards problems and features that matter to the audience.

        a. H3-setting up of CXL FAM

        b. National Labs use of Flux and Burst Buffers

        c. Kubernetes and multiple instances of Flux

  *   Will have a booth at SC25.

     *   Initial Flux/Sunfish start-up launch

     *   NVMeoF simulated endpoints
     *   NVMeoF endpoint launch
     *   Flux Prolog/Epilog



  *   Regarding initial Flux/Sunfish start-up launch, this is done and we have the timing diagram. If needed, we can review.
  *   Flux CLI was shared last week, from the presentation.
  *   Regarding NVMeoF simulated endpoints, Russ wanted to confirm that the mockups he set up is correct and they are.
     *   Phil shared some resources around NVMeoF.

  *   Presentation at Storage Technology Showcase went well. Someone commented that it made sense, and the progress so far seems advanced. Audience was people who do storage for a living and there was interest in burst buffer.
