The default build that you have is free. In order to have a checked
build you can do one of the following;
1) build it your self :-)
2) go to the same page on the Mellanox site and you fill find a zip file
with symbols. This file contains all the checked binaries as well so you
can copy srp.sys from the checked directory to the system32\drivers
directory.

Are you using windows xp32 bit? SRP doesn't work there.
If not, can you go to the device manager and do scan for HW changes?
This should help.
If this doesn't help than your problem is probably at the bus driver at
the code that should create the virtual device and not at the SRP itself
that is not loaded.
