Until Leonid has a chance to do the change you ask, there is another
work around:
Install winmerge (sourceforge.net/projects/winmerge).
Open tools->filters->LineFilters
Add a new filter with $Id
This should allow one to see only the files that have changed in other
places than the $Id line.
