[openib-general] SDP Query

hello, 
i have a requirement where SDP needs to tunnel non-IB traffic via IB. The situation is as below: 
1) my process has LD_PRELOADE'ed libsdp.so
2) the process opens a SOCK_STREAM connection to a remote process via a WAN link. The remote process is a TCP listener. all intermediate devices are Ethernet switches and IP routers.  
3) libsdp is required to receive in-bound packets from other SDP processes. 
in this scnario:
1) do i need a multi-protocol switch or an IB-Ethenet gateway? 
2) even if i use the MP switch, will SDP work? 
any opinion is highly appreciated.
