[ewg] OFED 5.3 backporting status - 10-7-2019

Sorry, I didn't get agenda out for EWG meeting today so we didn't have a quorum on the con-call. Not much progress in the last two weeks so let's try and make progress for next EWG meeting in two weeks.



Here is current status.



o   Mellanox - Vlad  (mlx5 backports not ready)

o   Chelsio - Bharat (no update)

o   Cavium - Michal  (cannot meet deadlines, disable qed, qede, and qedr drivers in OFED 5.3)

o   Broadcom - Devesh  (no update)

o   VMware - Adit (patches targeted for kernel.org 5.5, requires rdma_core changes, could be problem for 5.3 timeline)

o   Huawei - Lijun Ou (still working on kernel-5.3 integration, see errors below)

o   Intel (i40iw) - Henry (5.3 support only, no backports)



Build errors with kernel.org 5.3, latest daily drop:

Vlad, can you look at this backport_rdma_dim?
