Indeed,

Thanks Doug for opening the pull requests. I have merged all your PRs and the repos are ready to go. We (IBM) will move forward in the next few days and start pushing some code to the new repositories.

All of the Sunfish repos have had their LICENSE files updated to BSD 3 Clause. They have all had the DCO file added to the repo as well. The github setup now requires all commits to contain a valid DCO Signed-off-by: label, and we also require all commits to be PGP key signed as well. This more or less completes the setup of the repos in terms of licensing and contribution maintenance. I know people were going to their companies to get the BSD 3 Clause approved, but that's generally one of the easy ones to get approved, so we went ahead and put it in place ahead of getting everyone's response back. And the BSD 3 Clause is so permissive, that if we *do* need to end up changing the license in the future, it's not hard to do as almost any other license is more restrictive than this one and we don't have to have people's permission to relicense the code under more restrictive terms, just less restrictive ones. So I consider this step on getting the repos setup as being complete.

When I sent it out, I sent it out as only BSD 3 Clause. This is because a company, if they really wanted their code to be GPL, can re-release BSD code as GPL code (but not the other way around). The real impetus for dual license in the past was contributing code you wanted to be BSD to the linux kernel where it is GPL, so Dual license allowed you to have it both ways. This isn't kernel code, so the complexity seems unnecessary. See my email to ofmfwg at lists.openfabrics.org<mailto:ofmfwg at lists.openfabrics.org> with the things to take to company legal departments for approval.
